Part-Time Patient & Practice Coordinator

Medical Massage Specialists of Ithaca is hiring a highly organized, resourceful assistant/receptionist who can step in, take ownership, and help keep our growing practice running smoothly.

We are moving into a new two-treatment-room office this Friday and need someone who enjoys variety, solves problems independently, and is comfortable doing something different each day.

This is not a position where you will sit at a desk waiting for instructions. We are looking for someone who notices what needs to be done and handles it.

  • Checking patients out, collecting payments and answering scheduling questions
  • Responding to emails, phone calls and patient inquiries
  • Changing over and preparing treatment rooms
  • Processing payroll and assisting with administrative tasks
  • Creating, designing and scheduling daily social media posts
  • Communicating with physicians, dentists and other local healthcare offices
  • Coordinating community events, outreach and staff-appreciation programs
  • Ordering marketing materials and office supplies
  • Assisting with a wide variety of business and special projects
  • Helping patients understand scheduling, payment, insurance documentation and financing options

The Right Person Will Be:

  • Warm, professional and confident with patients
  • Extremely organized and dependable
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • Able to work independently without constant supervision
  • Experienced with social media design and posting
  • Comfortable learning payroll, scheduling and practice-management systems
  • A strong written and verbal communicator
  • Excited to work in a fast-growing, woman-owned local medical practice
  • Someone who genuinely enjoys variety and taking initiative

Hours and Growth

  • Approximately 10 hours per week to start
  • Opportunity to increase to approximately 20 hours per week beginning in November
  • Living-wage compensation
  • Opportunity to grow with an expanding local practice

  3. Two professional work references

Applications missing any of the three required items will not be considered.
